Trailhead and Bike Repair Station at Town Square!

The moment the Green Lake biking community has been waiting for! After announcing his project in June, Garrett Clark’s Eagle Scout project was completed Wednesday morning. Nestled right underneath the Mill Pond Terrace, we are so excited to add yet another gem to our Town Square treasure chest.

The bike repair station highlights include a variety of tools connected onto retractable cables with plenty of space for bikes, a wheel chock (allowing two bikes to be serviced at once), and an outdoor air pump. The repair station is part of a larger trailhead project, and other features include a kiosk with bike trail maps and brochures, a bike rack, and benches.

When asking Garrett about the construction, he said,

“Actually, the installation was smooth. We had everything we needed at the right time. The Scout motto is Be Prepared, and we were for sure!”

While Garrett is on the last stretch of earning his Eagle Scout Rank, we couldn’t be happier to help him achieve his goal, all while giving back into the community.

“It is a great accomplishment, and I feel really good about it. I feel it came together very well. It ties the theme of Town Renewal to Town Square and the Mill Pond Terrace. It will also benefit the local businesses when people come into town to start their bike ride.”
