Shoreline Boat Center of Green Lake, Wisconsin just announced that its annual lake party, Boat Jam, will have to relocate to land due to imperfect lake conditions. The event will be hosted on the originally scheduled date of Sunday, July 21, 2019 but the location has changed to the Green Lake Town Square grounds.

Town Square Celebrates Successful White Hot Party Fundraiser

More than 200 supporters of Town Square Community Center enjoyed a lovely evening at the White Hot Party fundraising event on Saturday, July 13 atop beautiful Sandstone Bluff overlooking majestic Green Lake at the property of the Vandervelde Family. The 2019 White Hot Party was made possible in part by generous sponsors and a team of volunteers. Special thanks go out to Co-chairs Joan Lloyd and Madden for their time and efforts to make the White Hot Party spectacular. Thank you to three local caterers, who teamed to provide food for the event: Goose Blind Grill and Bar, Horseradish Kitchen + Market, and Peppercorn Catering.

The Green Lake Bird and Nature Club to host Bat Presentation at Town Square

The Green Lake Bird and Nature Club will host a program at Town Square titled “The Bats of Wisconsin” on Monday, June 17 at 8:00 pm. This presentation by Tom Wagner will cover the eight species of bats found in Wisconsin, and provide information about their status and ecology, and discuss their great importance to the ecosystems of our state.  He will provide information about identification, habitat, migration, and reproduction – as well as the benefits of bats to humans. Besides being voracious feeders on mosquitoes and other flying insects, they also serve an important role as seed dispersers.

Camp Chocolate Returns to Town Square

Town Square Community Center is excited to bring back Camp Chocolate, a most delicious summer program and learning experience for children kindergarten through 8th grade. Three sessions will be held for separate age groups: June 11 through 14 for grades k-2, June 18 through 21 for grades 3-5, and June 25 through 28 for grades 6-8. The camp will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday. The price for the program including materials is $30 per child.

Personal Trainer Colton Burt to Operate Green Lake Fitness at Town Square

Colton Burt, a certified personal trainer and owner of Priority Fitness, will operate and manage Town Square’s Green Lake Fitness, taking over responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the downtown Green Lake 24-hour fitness and exercise facility. A native of Neshkoro, Mr. Burt has been in the fitness business since graduating from Wautoma High School and holds a certified personal training certificate from ACE—one of the country’s top, nationally-recognized certification programs.

Town Square Tap, operated by Genuine Beverages, the producer of Fox Tale Genuine Craft Ginger Beer, will open this summer at Mill Pond Terrace, the new outdoor event venue overlooking the Dartford Mill Pond on the north side of Town Square.
